To begin with, the residence was designed by as a holiday home. The area was quite populated with ‘traditional’ Danish homes. To integrate the Village House seamlessly into the landscape, visible traditional elements were kept.
The ground floor is an open space with a continuous pavement, where the dining room, the kitchen and the living area are located. First level accommodates three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The second floor was also turned into an open space, flooded in natural light through skylights and a cut in the cover that originates a small terrace with beautiful views to Finisterre and the Carnota bay.
Operating out of Eureka, California, Nancy Kennedy began weaving in 1990. In 1999 she began showing her work in fine crafts shows and gallery exhibitions, winning multiple Best in Show awards around the country.
