The ground floor is an open space with a continuous pavement, where the dining room, the kitchen and the living area are located. First level accommodates three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The second floor was also turned into an open space, flooded in natural light through skylights and a cut in the cover that originates a small terrace with beautiful views to Finisterre and the Carnota bay.
The new and neat approach consisting of a light architectural intervention alongside with the traditional elements enhances the contrasts between old and new. The new structure creates a dialogue with the nature, allowing it inside the house.
Its floor-to-ceiling windows overlook a swimming pool in the backyard. “This project is intended to be respectful of its established neighborhood while infusing a modern sensibility for aesthetics, functionality, ecology and technology,” the architect said.
